A compliance matrix where every requirement shows the page it came from

FedSift reads every document in a solicitation package (SOW, PWS, instructions, evaluation criteria, clauses) and lists each requirement with the verbatim sentence and PDF page behind it. Then it checks each one against your company profile.

What you get

  • Every requirement in the package. Obligations, submission instructions, evaluation factors and clause requirements, from every attachment, not only the notice text.
  • The sentence and the page. Each requirement carries the verbatim sentence it came from and the document and PDF page where that sentence sits.
  • Checked against your company. Each requirement is marked matched, gap, alert or unknown against your profile (certifications, NAICS codes, clearances, past performance), with a scorecard on top.
  • Review & Edit, side by side. The requirement list on the left, the source PDF on the right with the cited passage highlighted. Tick requirements off, override a status, edit the wording, add notes, hide what does not apply. Your edits are private to you.

Why the page number can be trusted

A language model will cite a page number whether or not the sentence is on it. FedSift does not take its word for it: every cited quote is searched for in the PDF itself, and the page is set to where the text actually is. When a quote spans a page break, it points to the page where the passage begins, because that is where you need to start reading.

A quote that cannot be found in the document is marked unverified, and a close paraphrase is marked as a paraphrase. Neither is shown with the same confidence as a verbatim, located quote.

When the documents are thin, it says so

Some notices carry a one-line synopsis and hide the package behind a portal. Instead of generating a plausible matrix from the title, FedSift reports that there is not enough evidence to extract requirements, and names what is missing. Supply the solicitation yourself (Pro) and the matrix is built from your documents, which stay private to your account.

Questions

Can FedSift build a compliance matrix from an RFP automatically?

Yes. Open any solicitation and generate the matrix. FedSift reads every attached document, lists each requirement with its verbatim sentence and PDF page, and marks each one matched, gap, alert or unknown against your company profile.

How do I know a citation is right?

The page number is found by searching the PDF for the quoted sentence, not taken from the model's answer. A quote that cannot be located is marked as unverified, and a paraphrase is marked as a paraphrase. In Review & Edit, selecting a requirement opens the PDF at that page with the passage highlighted.

What if the solicitation documents are not on SAM.gov?

Packages attached on SAM.gov and on publicly viewable PIEE pages are read automatically. Packages behind a CAC-gated portal cannot be fetched by anyone without an account, so FedSift says there is not enough evidence rather than guessing. On Pro you can upload the SOW, PWS or Q&A yourself (up to 12 files per solicitation, scanned PDFs included), and those requirements are added to your matrix and stay private to you.

How many compliance matrices can I generate?
